Bug Bust 20 Recap

Hi Everyone...Well Bug Bust 20 was a great success. 75 cars and 7 vendors where on hand to delight the continual flow of spectators. Despite a less then perfect weather forcast, the day turned out to be rain free & sunny at a pleasant 80 degrees. It was our best turn out ever both in number of show entries and 100’s of spectators. Thanks to all who attended and thanks to our wonderful show sponsors...Joyce

Memorial Art Gallery with a Psychedelic Exhibit

What:Memorial Art Gallery with a Psychedelic Exhibit
When:Saturday October 16
Where:Memorial Art Gallery
500 University Avenue
Rochester, NY

I was recently contacted by Lewis at The Philipson Group, a creative studio on East Avenue in Rochester, NY. One of their clients is the Rochester Memorial Art Gallery. The Philipson Group has been commissioned to assist the Memorial Art Gallery with a Psychedelic exhibit, which includes vintage cars from the 1960’s and 1970’s. Lewis is inviting our Membership to bring their Volkswagen Bugs, Busses & Buggies to be part of his exhibit. He feels Volkswagens are synonymous of the “physchedelic” era and is very excited to have us be part of the exhibit. We would be parked on the lawn of the Memorial Art Gallery. The event would be between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on Saturday October 16, 2010.

Aproximatly 1500 supporters of the Memorial Art Gallery will be in attendance for the exhibition opening party and dinner. As part of the exhibit, we would also be invited to attend the party and dinner as well. So, if you would like to be part of an art exhibit, with party and dinner included, all at no charge, then this is the event for you! It is imperative that you let me know if you would like to attend this October 16th event, as soon as possible. Space is limited and the organizer needs to know by September 15.

P.S. All types of vintage pre-1980 aircooled Volkswagens are welcome…

PLEASE RSVP to Joyce by September 15 at joycec@rochester.rr.com or call me at 585-671-5914
